Aesica To Increase Presence In Asia
Aesica Pharmaceuticals has announced the promotion of Joe Zou currently Chief Representative of its Shanghai office, to manage regional sales across Asia, particularly in China.
Joe has worked for Aesica since 2008, based in the company’s Shanghai office and prior to this he worked for Whytes Chemicals Ltd. as Manager of its China office for nine years.
Joe’s new position will contribute to Aesica’s strategy to become the number one supplier of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and Formulated Products, as developing business streams across Asia will significantly enhance the company’s portfolio. Joe will work closely with the team at the Head Office in the United Kingdom, to increase Aesica’s presence in Asia, particularly in China, which, as a BRIC country (Brazil, Russia, India, China) has one of the fastest growing economies in the world and further expansion into this market is a natural progression for Aesica.
Joe said of his new appointment: “Aesica has had a presence in China for some time now and my new position within the company brings the responsibility of increasing sales outputs, not only in China, but across the whole of Asia. It is a large region to manage with huge potential, however, having worked in Shanghai for over twelve years I have many strong established contacts and I’m looking forward to the prospect of developing business further here in Asia.”
