As part of German Girls’ Day on 25 April 2013, Aesica Monheim and Zwickau sites warmly welcomed nineteen school girls aged between 13-16 years. The open day events provided an insight into key areas of the company including bulk production and packaging and comprised of a site tour, corporate presentation and Q&A session.
Since 2001, technical enterprises, universities and research centres have been invited to organise the open day as part of the ‘Future Prospects for Girls’ initiative. The campaign aims to positively influence the vocational choices of girls by promoting scientific and technical careers.
The initiative is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research, the German Federal Ministry for Family Affairs and the European Social Fund.
